    1.  Thursday 4th May 2023 (14th Shawwal, 1444 Hijjri) Hazari of Hazrat Abul

Ceremonies

Part I

     1.       Small Majlis in the afternoon

5.       Five or seven suhagan will do the rasm.

6.       Dulhan will be taken to the bathroom under the shade of Holy Quran

7.               After she takes bath let her come outside the Bathroom under the shade of the Holy Quran with a loving person who is also leading a happy marital life. Dulhan should be draped in red chadar while bringing from the bathroom.

Part II

8.               Main Manje in the evening when all the relatives come.

9.               Majlis in the evening

10.           Jashn in the evening i) Garlanding of the reciters ii) Distribution

            of chocolates III) Distribution of Sweets or Laddu or Gulgule

            (Sweet Bhajiye) + Malida Laddu

11.           Gulposhi (Garlanding) of the Dulhan

12.           Dinner

Sanchak-Mehndi: These are two functions celebrated on the same day.  These days both the parties are taking a function hall and celebrating the function at one place.  Dividing the total amount into two.

List of things to be done in Sanchak- Mehndi (Shukrana)

1.       Flowers for Sanchak

a)               Boys side: One complete set of flowers i.e., Garland, Hand flower bracelets, head Small Sehra for bride – For Zahara

b)               Gajre: 20 for ladies – For Zahara

c)               Welcome haar by girl’s side to 75 guests who will be coming from boys’ side i.e., both Mardana and Zanana must be garlanded. For Farhat

Flowers for Mehndi

d)               Girl’s side: One complete set of flowers i.e., Big Garland for Bridegroom, Sehra {Small), Hand Bracelets.  - For Farhat

e)               Hand bracelets for ladies – 20 -for Farhat

       4. Zewar Pinnate (Jadawi Lasha Karan Phool, Complete set)

       5. Imam e Zamin aur Kangan Bandhte Dulhan ko by grooms’ side

Note: If the Sanchak -Mehndi Rasm is done at the venue of Dulhan and Dulha then they will make the arrangement of food in their respective houses for their relatives and friends and give snacks to Dulha and Dulhan’s side.  In Sanchak Dulha (Groom’s relatives come to Bride’s home.  In Mehndi, Bride’s relatives go to Dulha’s home. 

If the Sanchak – Mehndi Rasm is done together by both Groom and Bride’s side together at a Banquet Hall or Marriage Hall than first Sanchak Rasm (Rasm of Bride by Grooms side relatives) followed by dinner and then Mehndi Rasm (Rasm of Groom by Bride’s side relatives)

  5. Mehndi Rasm

     1. Applying chiksa and Haldi (By Fatima’s side)

     2.  Garlanding of Dulha by mother/elder person of family

     3. Give Naik to Dulha (Rs. 5000/-) or can give Angothi

     5. Take out Sadqua

     6. Other close six ladies will do the Rasm

    7.  Rasm by Saali (Brides younger sister)

·                    A red chadar is placed between Dulha and bride’s sister and cousins.

·                    She will ask Naik. (Money)

·                    A jovial fight will occur.

·                    Dulha agrees to give Naik.

·                    Saali (Bride’s sister) will apply Mehndi to Groom on his right-hand little finger.

·                    Then, tie an Imam Zamin of triangular shape on the applied finger.

·                    And place (Pahnate) an Angothi (ring) on his finger.

Nikah Day: List of things to be taken to Marriage Hall on Nikah and Reception of Dulhan

1.       Naik for Vakil

 

2.       Mirror

 

3.       Quran

 

4.       Madare ki Chadar

5.       Chawal (raw rice)

 

6.       Nikah ka Tiffin

 

7.       Small hamper of snacks and flowers for Fatima (fairy) to be placed

       in her room.

 

8.       Sufra: Sweets, Candles, Cheese, Mithai, Fruits: (6-10 are

     optional.  For nazar of Imam e Zamana on the stage of Dulhan)

 

   9.  Flowers: Sehra, full set of flowers for bride and groom

At Shaadi Khana

1.       When Dulha arrives at the gate. Brothers of Dulhan close the gate

      and ask for Naik from Dulha.  He has to give Naik and then they

      open the gate.

 

2.       Dulha is taken to Dulhan section.  A Madara chadar is kept in

      between Dulha Dulhan and five times Dulha Dulhan throw rice

      on each other’s head and their faces are shown to each other

      before Nikah to make sure that they agree to marry each other.  

      (Last minute reconfirmation)

 

3.       Nikah Starts.  Signatures of Dulhan are taken first than

      Signatures of the groom are taken.  Two witnesses have to sign.

 

4.       Give Naik to Vakil or the person who recites Segeh (Rs. 2500/-)

      Both sides mean Rs.5000/-

 

5.       Dulha people distribute Bari: which comprises of Badam, Kaju,

       Kishmish.

 

6.       While Nikah Segeh are carried on some unmarried girls from

          Dulha’s side grind Misri on the head of Dulhan. i.e., they take

       two pieces of Misri and hold them in their hands and grind on

       each other so that Misri is sprinkled on the head of Dulha.  They

       all recite durood (Allah Humma Salle Ala Mohammadin wa ale

       Mohammad)

 

7.       After Nikah Dinner is served to the guests

 

8.       Jalwa takes place.

 

9.       In Jalwa Dulha (Haider) is brought into the ladies’ section by

         brothers and male relatives of Dulha.  Then, Dulha and Dulhan

       are made to sit opposite to each other.  Madara chadar is placed

       on their heads.

 

10.   First Quran is showed to both Dulha and Dulhan (Surah e Yousuf

       is opened and shown to them)

 

11.   Then mirror is placed in between them and they should see each

       other’s image in the mirror and recite Allah Humma Salle Ala

       Mohammadin Wa Ale Mohammad.

 

12.   Then Misri is placed on the right shoulder and Dulha has to eat,

       then Misri is placed on the left shoulder then Dulha has to eat

       the Misri (thrice this process is repeated.

 

 

13.   After Jalwa both the Dulha and Dulhan are made to sit on the

      chairs and are garlanded by the parents or elders of both the

      sides.

 

14.   While leaving for home or hotel room Dulhan’s brother will hold

       Quran on the head of the Dulhan.  Father or a relative of the

       Dulhan will recite the Azaan loudly standing beside the car or

       vehicle on which the Dulha – Dulhan are sitting.

 

15.   Before leaving for the hotel room or home both Dulha and

       Dulhan’s Sadqua should be taken out. 

 

16.   Both should be taken to Imam Bargah (In Hyderabad we usually

       take them to Sar Touq ka Alawa.

 

Chowthi Day

 

1.    Take mithai (1Kg) to Dulha’s home with brothers and younger cousins.

2.    Dulha people do Mauh Dikhayi rasm and then give some gift to Dulhan.

3.    Dulhan relatives bring back Dulhan to her home.

 

List of things to be taken on Chowthi day

1.       Flowers (Complete set for both Dulha and Dulhan + chadiyan

      sticks)

2.       Fruits-5 types

3.       Naik: money 5000 or gift like watch, mobile phone, extreme is

       laptop

 

·              Things to be done on Chowthi: Dinner has to be arranged by Dulhan’s father or close relative.

·              Both Dulha and Dulhan has to be garlanded by both the sides

·              Naik has to be given to Dulha by Dulhan’s father or close relative.

 

Valima Day

1.       Flowers: two sets for both Dulha and Dulhan

 

2.       Naik or gift for Dulha

 

Method:  This is Dulha’s (Haider’s) side people’s function.  It is done to celebrate the consumption of marriage by Dulha and Dulhan. 

After Dinner both Dulha and Dulhan are garlanded
